Our mission at St. John the Baptist is to:
Worship in the fullness of joy and truth and unite ourselves with Christ through the sacraments.
Worship is the basis of everything we do. It is the fount from which we nourish our spiritual life and work out our salvation. For only if we focus first on spiritual life, which includes prayer and the reception of the sacraments (the source of life), will anything that follows matter. To this end Our Savior reminds us: "seek first the Kingdom & His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you". (Matthew 6:33)
Reach out and care for others in love by being a guiding force in the lives of our parishoners and to follow God's Commandments.
The early church grew because others were influenced by the love the Christians had for God (willingly accepting martyrdom) and for one another. The words of our Savior resonate with this: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)
Let us love one another as Jesus loves us!
